Water leaks aren’t always obvious to the untrained ear or eyes. Here’s what to watch out for if you think you may have one:
- Unexpected spikes in your water bill are a very clear sign that you could have a leak.
- Damp patches and brown spotted water marks on walls, floors or ceilings, making rooms dusky and damp.
- Mould or mildew growth is a sure sign, and can be very dangerous for your health if breathed in for too long.
- Low water pressure throughout your home. Annoying, and it needs to be addressed so you can keep enjoying your showers!
- Sounds of running water or dripping when taps are off. Leaks can be behind walls – we can track the problem right back to the source.
- Water pooling in your garden or driveway.
- Warm spots on your floor could potentially be a hot water leak.
- Peeling paint or lifting wallpaper is often a sign of damp spots and need to be repaired.
- Visible cracks in your walls, ceilings and cornices can mean a problem. We will find it and solve it for you!
